poem~River Roads and Bus Stops

River Roads and Bus Stops

Platform teetering
ticket clutched hidden
sometimes I feel
I love you
more than I should
eyes reflections of trees
smooth stones sparkling
under water
and I can almost taste
lips cinnamon musk
arms wrapped around me
as I linger
longer than I should
seconds trapped ticking
your quiet smile of corner dimples
sometime you feel
you love me
more than you should
but our hands clasp
and we both most certainly
do.
