poem~Vertical Fluidity

Vertical Fluidity

Skeletal fragments
of icicles
above
below
ever reaching in
suspended beauty
grasping toward
shared embrace of
brittle bones
winter has halted
inches
from a kiss
that could link the two
naked
exposed
crystal drop tears so cold
they burn away the
shadows
a slow frozen
death
monumental
in wanting.
