poem~ City Shadows

City Shadows

Running down
to the dark
alley of his eyes
puddles inching
to the top of
my shoes
lips warm sweet bourbon
tongue infused shots of honey
skin covered in
sweat rain
touches released
silent pauses
and one last glance
before blazing
into streetlight
